Practicing Yoga during pregnancy can help to encourage a healthy, relaxed and positive pregnancy and birth, enhancing your experience of this special time. This gentle class is a place to relax, safely stretch, strengthen, align and mobilise the body - helping you towards a greater ease and comfort throughout your pregnancy. It creates a space for you to connect with your body and your baby, as well as with other mums-to-be.
Using a combination of Yoga postures, stretching, breathing and relaxation techniques, Yoga can help:
Keep your body in shape, without straining
Improve energy levels
Offer relief from some of the common discomforts of pregnancy
Promote restful sleep
Reduce stress and anxiety
Equip you with simple, effective techniques for a more positive and empowering birth experience
The class is suitable for both experienced and those new to Yoga, and for all stages of pregnancy from 14 weeks. Please check with your G.P. or midwife before commencing practice.
This is a 'rolling' course, meaning that you can join at any time for a block of 8 classes. When you become close to your due date, you may pay weekly. We always finish the class with a drink and biscuits, as a chance to chat, share experiences and get to know other mums-to-be.
Loose comfortable clothing should be worn and please do not eat a big meal for at least 2 hours before class.
If you require a Yoga mat I can supply one for £15.00. Just let me know and include with your course payment. Cost : £72.00 for an 8-week course.
Please download, print and complete the Antenatal Yoga Booking Form/Health Questionnaire, and email me for payment details.
